Spectrum Sounds was founded in 1994 by me, Michael A. LaMarca. I worked for another company for 6 years before venturing out on my own. I had a vision and made a promise to provide my customers with the highest level of professionalism and service that could be found in this industry. We make our music services a standard while others made them “add-ons.” We understand the importance of the day and know we only have one opportunity to make a client’s day the very best. There are no “do-overs.” We don’t have a second chance to make it the most amazing event they could dream of. In 2016, Jay and I became business partners in Spectrum Sounds, and he elevated the business to a new level. Our combined experience, talents, personalities, dedication to high-quality service, integrity, and professionalism created an entirely new DJ company combining the traditional with a modern flair.
Adam

Adam has been DJing, rocking crowds, and melting faces since 2002. The first CD, yes CD, he ever owned was Busta Rhymes ‘The Coming’. He is a Motley Crue superfan, but we have yet to see any proof of mullets or spandex. When asked about his hobbies, Adam said ‘tattoos and rock n’ roll’. Adam would love to be your DJ!

Anthony (DJ Cruz) grew up in Brooklyn, NY, where he developed a passion for music. He dedicated a decade to radio broadcasting, collaborating with icons such as Ed Lover and Doctor Dre from Yo MTV Raps, Monie Love, Flavor Flav, the legendary RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Damon Dash, Brenda K. Starr, and comedian/actor George Wallace. His journey took him across the nation, from New York City to Philadelphia, Miami, and Denver, ultimately landing in Rochester to join the Brother Wease Show as an on-air personality.
Today, DJ Cruz is part of the award-winning Spectrum Sounds team, recognized by the Democrat & Chronicle Choice Awards as the Best of Rochester DJ – Event/Wedding team.
With 25 years of musical expertise, he finds immense joy in entertaining others. As Anthony puts it, "Ensuring that every event, wedding, or party is unforgettable is one of his greatest pleasures."
Lydia
Photo Booth Attendant
Born and raised in Rochester, NY, she has been working for Spectrum Sounds since 2018. Her primary role is Photo Booth Manager and she also works as a qualified DJ Assistant. Lydia grew up competitively dancing, remaining involved in that industry and also works as a NYS Licensed Insurance professional.
Her background, experience in the business professional world along with the events industry, and passion to our team and clients results in a lasting positive impact to all she has the pleasure to work with.
Lynnette
Event and Booking Manager
Lynnette was Born and raised in the city of Rochester, NY, she has been working for Spectrum Sounds since 2018. Her primary role is Event and Booking Coordinator and also serves as a Licensed Officiant performing weddings, writing the ceremonies and working close with the couples. Officiating is what brings Lynnette joy and satisfaction to be a part of the couple’s special day.
Lynnette Graduated from RIT with a bachelors degree in business management. She and her husband Lou moved to North Greece when they married and raised four beautiful children. Lynnette and Lou have 5 beautiful grandchildren and look forward to more. Once her youngest started school Lynnette was hired by the Town of Greece and has worked as a management assistant since 1998. Lynnette enjoys working with couples and loves helping to shape their most special day into a day to remember.

The abiltity to interact, connect, and provide memories for our clients is why I love what we do! Music has always been a passion of mine, I enjoy all genres which helps me individualize each event, stay relevant to the latest trends, and easily tailor to the audience!
I have been a DJ for over 10 years, it has given me the opportunity to meet some really great people, experience a lot of what Rochester and the surrounding areas have to offer, from the venues and vendors to the breathtaking views! When I am not working or DJing, you can usually catch me spending time with my wife and three little kids, or out on one of many local lakes bass fishing!
Sarah
Photo Booth Event Manager
Sarah joined our Spectrum Sounds family in 2022 as a Photobooth attendant and starting in 2025, she has taken on the role of Photobooth Event Manager.
She has continued to bring an abundance of ideas and positivity, being a great asset to our team members and clients.
Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, from SUNY Potsdam and a full-time career as a Senior Account Manager for Transcat, Inc., working within the Power Generation Industry.
Sarah enjoys reading books, traveling the world, meeting new people and staying active by running 5k’s. Originally from West Irondequoit, NY, she currently resides in North Greece, NY.
In her down time, you can find her enjoying quality time with her significant other, Bryan and their two rescue dogs; Axel, the English Bulldog and Hank, the English Mastiff.
